The 2019 Mazda MX-5: more power, more fun

The Mazda MX-5 was always a car about helping the driver fall in love with driving, about Mazda’s philosophy of Jinba Ittai, or “horse and rider as one”. That said, a little extra power never hurt.

The new MX-5 received several powertrain updates that help it boast 17% more power and greater fuel efficiency. It’s enriched with a SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter engine, making it quicker, more responsive, and more engaging to drive. Moreover, it’s received safety equipment and features like a rearview camera, Traffic Sign Recognition and Smart City Brake Support in addition to other i-ACTIVSENSE safety equipment. The interior has been completely revised as well, with a newly telescoping steering wheel, easier-to-open doors, and revised cup holders and seat levers.

The 2019 Mazda MX-5 will be available in Canada this summer, with pricing, packaging and full specifications to be announced closer to the sale date.
